McDermott Will & Schulte has advised Nautic Partners and its portfolio company SurfacePrep on the acquisition of the German blasting and abrasive materials producer Kuhmichel Group.
Kuhmichel Abrashiv, based in Ratingen, Germany, is a leader in blasting and abrasive materials. With 120 employees across eleven locations in Europe — including the Netherlands, Hungary, Turkey, and Austria — the company offers recycling solutions for industrial waste.
Nautic is a middle-market private equity firm that focuses on three industries: healthcare, industrials, and services. SurfacePrep is a leading global distributor of abrasives, specialty ceramics, and surface finishing equipment, headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with 60 facilities in the U.S., Canada, and the U.K.
