Florian Schiefer advises private equity sponsors, real estate investors, fund sponsors, institutional investors, and domestic and international companies on complex German and cross-border tax matters arising in connection with transactions, investments, corporate reorganizations, and restructurings. His practice focuses on the tax aspects of domestic and cross-border M&A and real estate transactions.
He advises clients throughout the entire transaction lifecycle, from tax due diligence, acquisition and financing structuring, and transaction documentation through to the implementation of acquisition structures and post-closing integration. A particular focus of his practice is the design of tax-efficient acquisition, holding, and investment structures for corporate groups, private equity sponsors, and real estate investors.
Florian also has extensive experience advising on the taxation of investment fund structures. He advises fund sponsors on the structuring and establishment of investment funds, as well as institutional and private investors on investments in domestic and international fund platforms. His practice covers, in particular, private equity, real estate, and other alternative investment funds, including the design of tax-efficient investment and holding structures.
