Frankfurt, March 25, 2026 — With a cross-border team from its German and U.S. offices and led by Christiam Marzlin, McDermott Will & Schulte advised Würth Elektronik ICS GmbH & Co. KG, a subsidiary of the the Würth Group, on its acquisition of MRS Electronic Group.
As part of the transaction, Würth is acquiring not only the MRS headquarters in Rottweil, Germany, but also the company’s locations in Croatia, Poland and Turkey. MRS Electronic will become part of the Würth Group but will remain an independent company within Würth Elektronik ICS.
Completion of the transaction is still subject to approval by the relevant antitrust authorities.
MRS Electronic has been developing and manufacturing control, communication, and networking solutions for electronic vehicle systems for over 25 years, including compact controllers, relays, gateways, HMIs, and test systems for power semiconductors. MRS Electronic and Würth Elektronik ICS have maintained a close supplier and development partnership for over 15 years.
Würth Elektronik ICS, headquartered in Niedernhall-Waldzimmern, Germany, with subsidiaries in France, the United Kingdom, Italy, the United States and India, is a system provider of electromechanical and electronic solutions for signal and power distribution, function control, and display and control solutions. Its main customers are well-known manufacturers of construction and agricultural machinery as well as commercial vehicles. In 2025, the Würth Elektronik Group generated sales of €1.06 billion.
