Dr. Maximilian Meyer focuses on domestic and cross-border tax advice relating to transactions, investment structuring and financings. This particularly encompasses the tax efficient structuring of fund investments in alternative assets (PE/VC, debt, RE/Infra), incl. carried interest and (employee) co-investments, both from a sponsor’s and investor’s perspective.
Prior to joining McDermott Will & Schulte, Maximilian worked in the fund structuring team of a Big4 and spent several years in the tax team of a Magic Circle law firm. He is qualified both as a lawyer and tax advisor.
