Kristin K. Going is a partner in McDermott’s business restructuring practice, advising clients on value maximizing solutions to distressed situations.
She is nationally recognized for representing creditor committees, post-confirmation trusts, and lenders in complex corporate and municipal insolvency proceedings, and also counsels indenture trustees, loan agents, insurers, directors, ad hoc groups, and strategic investors.
As co-managing partner of the firm’s New York office and a member of the Management Committee, she brings more than 25 years of industry experience to distressed transactions and is known for her practical and commercial approach to negotiations within the capital structure of companies in financial distress.

- Represented the official committee of unsecured creditors in the Forever 21 chapter 11 cases, involving approximately $1.6 billion of funded debt
- Represented the official committee of unsecured creditors in the First Mode chapter 11 cases for a decarbonization solutions developer and manufacturer
- Represented the official committee of unsecured creditors in the Vyaire Medical chapter 11 cases, involving more than $530 million of funded debt
