During our recent Global Antitrust Update webinar, we explored major developments shaping antitrust enforcement in 2025 and beyond.
First up was an overview of the most recent global antitrust developments and enforcement trends. Elai Katz and Hendrik Viaene then turned to the fast-evolving landscape of digital markets regulation, focusing on key challenges such as remedies, enforcement duplication, and the limitations of ex-ante regulations without extraterritorial effect. Their discussion was enriched by insights from Ori Schwartz, Head of the Competition Division at the OECD.
Next, Joel Grosberg and Omar Shah analyzed Australia’s substantial merger control overhaul, which shifts toward mandatory notifications and grants expanded powers to the ACCC. They were joined by guest speaker Wolfgang Hellmann, Partner at Maddocks, who shared firsthand insights on the implications of the reforms and their immediate impact on dealmaking.
