Provider-Sponsored Health Plans

Gary Scott Davis, Paul Carr-Rollitt, Joel Rush and Kate McDonald wrote this chapter on Provider-Sponsored Health Plan (PSHPs) in a text for health law practitioners. The authors wrote that today’s shift from traditional fee-for-service payment systems to alternative value-based, bundled and population-based payment models is leading many hospitals and health systems to implement PSHPs.
