Mariafiore Miniussi is a dual qualified Italian and US lawyer, focusing her practice on international arbitration, arbitration-related litigation, and complex cross-border disputes.

She regularly advises and represents multinational corporations, private clients and public entities in international arbitration proceedings and cross-border litigation matters. She has represented both claimants and respondents in commercial arbitrations conducted under a variety of arbitral rules, including those of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), the Milan Chamber of Arbitration (CAM) and the Swiss Chambers’ Arbitration Institution (SCAI). She has also acted as secretary to arbitral tribunals.

Her major areas of practice include energy, construction and engineering and post M&A disputes.

Earlier in her career, Mariafiore gained experience at a boutique arbitration firm in Geneva as well as at US-based global law firms in Miami. In addition to English and Italian, Mariafiore has working proficiency in Spanish and French.

  • Representing an Italian multinational contractor and its Russian subsidiary as claimants and counterclaim respondents in ICC arbitration proceedings seated in London under English and Russian law arising out of contracts for the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of a fertilizer plant in Russia
  • Representing the Dutch affiliate of an Italian multinational contractor as claimant in ICC arbitration proceedings seated in Italy under Italian law arising out of a contract for the procurement of equipment and technology to be employed in a plant for the production of urea
  • Representing an Italian contractor as claimant in ICC arbitration proceedings seated in Geneva under Swiss law arising out of a subcontract for the performance of works in the construction of a vacuum gas oil hydrotreatment unit in a refinery in France
