Overview


Marco Blei focuses his practice on industrial and intellectual property, information technology and contracts, with specific focus in the life sciences and high technology sectors.

He also handles disputes in patent and know-how matters, as well as in relation to trademarks, designs, copyrights, unfair competition and misleading advertising.

Marco has significant experience in the drafting and negotiation of agreements for the licensing, exploitation, valorization and acquisition of intellectual property rights, R&D and collaboration agreements as well as IT related contracts, also in the context of extraordinary corporate transactions and technology transactions.

Marco is regularly involved in drafting and negotiating agreements for the manufacturing, supply, distribution and co-marketing of pharmaceutical products and medical devices as well as of clinical trials agreements.

Marco also serves as an adjunct professor at several universities, teaching courses on intellectual property law and pharmaceuticals and medical devices regulation.

  • Assisted an Italian medical device manufacturer in matters relating to international patent enforcement as well as licensing and distribution deals*
  • Assisted a leading Italian research institute in relation to the drafting and negotiations of agreement relating to the exploitation of IP and to research and development deals*
  • Assisted a publicly owned private equity and venture capital fund in relation to the investment into several startups and early stage companies operating in the life sciences sector*
