Holger Mlynek advises clients on all stages of complex projects and transactions with a focus on transport, infrastructure and energy sectors.

With around 15 years of advisory experience in transport and infrastructure sectors, Holger has a particular focus on advising lenders on rolling stock fleet financing projects and on public-private partnership (“PPP”) projects in the trunk road sector. In particular, he has advised banks and institutional investors on public transport services contracts, project and rolling stock agreements as well as financing support models of competent public transport authorities (PTAs) for many railway networks in the German regional public passenger rail transport (Schienenpersonennahverkehr – “SPNV”) sector. In addition, he has extensive experience in advising transport operating companies in connection with public SPNV transport services contracts.

In the energy sector, Holger has many years of experience in advising corporates, investors and lenders on developments, M&A and financing transactions around renewable energy facilities, where he regularly advises on related project agreements (in particular supply and installation, maintenance and repair, management, development and cooperation agreements).

Holger also frequently advises in other infrastructure sectors, including fast charging infrastructures for electric vehicles. In addition, he regularly advises on commercial (business-to-business) agreements across industries.

Holger studied law at the Universities of Marburg and Helsinki and was admitted to the German bar in 2009. He is a co-author in one of the leading German commentaries on energy law.

  • ImWind Group on the Development and Financing of a Large Wind Farm in Hesse
  • Aream Group on the formation of a joint venture with Eiffel Investment Group represented by the Eiffel Transition Infrastructure Fund
