Ele Klein recognized among top legal advisers to activist investors in first half of 2026

McDermott Will & Schulte was recognized as a leading legal adviser to activist investors in a recent review of prominent shareholder activism campaigns during the first half of 2026 in The Deal.

The review highlighted three matters led by Ele Klein:

• Ele and Brandon Gold advised Two Seas Capital on its cooperation agreement with Core Scientific, which resulted in the appointment of three new directors and the departure of the company’s chairman.
• Ele and Abraham Schwartz advised Emmett Investment Management in its campaign at Whitestone REIT, which concluded with Whitestone’s sale to Ares Management at a valuation of approximately $1.7 billion.
• Ele and Brandon advised Anson Funds Management on its campaign at SPS Commerce, resulting in the appointment of two new independent directors and the departure of a long-tenured director. SPS Commerce subsequently retained a financial adviser to explore strategic alternatives.
