Munich, May 11, 2026 — With a team led by Holger Ebersberger, Alexandra Prato, and Matthias Weissinger (finance), McDermott Will & Schulte has represented funds advised by NORD Holding on the acquisition and acquisition financing of IBB Institut für Berufliche Bildung AG.
Founded in 1985, IBB is one of Germany’s leading providers of government-funded advanced vocational training and occupational retraining, employing approx. 700 people across around 70 proprietary locations and more than 1,000 partner locations through the VIONA network.
With NORD Holding’s support, IBB aims to further expand its market position and continue its growth trajectory in the German education sector.
The transaction remains subject to merger control clearance by the German Federal Cartel Office.
The McDermott team was led by Holger H. Ebersberger, Alexandra Prato and Matthias Weissinger and included Florian Schiefer and Steffen Woitz, Holger Mlynek and Antje Weiss as well as Armin Teymouri, Macha Dinga, Merlyn von Hugo, Jan Ischreyt, Janek Joosten, Annalena Oblinger and Lorenz Schwojer.
