McDermott Will & Schulte advises Lockheed Martin on $3.45 billion acquisition of Ultra Maritime

Global law firm McDermott Will & Schulte advised Lockheed Martin in connection with its $3.45 billion acquisition of Ultra Maritime, a global defense company specializing in advanced undersea warfare and anti-submarine warfare capabilities for allied naval forces. The transaction was announced in July 2026 and brings the Ultra Maritime business under the Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems business area. McDermott’s cross-border antitrust team in the US, Brussels, Germany, and Italy managed the transaction’s complex global regulatory strategy, including competition and foreign direct investment filings around the world.

The McDermott team was led by Jon Dubrow, Lisa Rumin, Stéphane Dionnet, Christian Krohs and Laura Stammwitz.
