Overview


Angela Fernandez de la Puebla focuses her practice on antitrust and competition, advising clients on EU and UK competition law and merger control.

She has experience assisting clients in complex antitrust investigations and merger proceedings before the European Commission, the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) and national competition authorities. Her work includes supporting merger notifications and strategy, conducting market analysis, and assessing compliance with merger clearance and foreign direct investment conditions. She has also contributed to abuse of dominance investigations, including matters in the digital sector in her previous professional experiences.

Angela advises clients in the pharmaceutical sector on antitrust risks, dominance queries, parallel trade, patent strategies, and the competition–IP interface and has assisted with anti-dumping complaints in the pharmaceutical sector. She also supports private equity clients on merger control and antitrust analysis in contemplated acquisitions.

Her background includes hands-on experience within EU competition enforcement, like the European Commission, where she assisted with case development, evidence analysis and the preparation of official documents in high-profile antitrust investigations.
