Jennifer is known for developing defenses in cases turning on medical causation, expert-intensive discovery, and evolving scientific evidence. Her experience includes nearly two decades of serving as national coordinating counsel representing a major firm client in their mass tort litigation. In that capacity, she was responsible for the development and implementation of case strategy and oversaw all aspects of the litigation, including fact investigation, motion practice, expert witness development, defense of corporate representative witnesses, mediations, trials, settlement negotiations, and appeals.

Jennifer also successfully defends employers and corporations in administrative agency actions in Connecticut before the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities involving discrimination, wrongful discharge, and fair employment practices.

With a Bachelor’s degree in biology and Masters in Public Health, Jennifer brings a unique proficiency of medical and scientific knowledge, experience and perspective to McDermott and the practice of product and commercial litigation. This core education, along with previous in-house experience at a publicly traded company, provides a solid foundation for Jennifer to serve as a resource to clients and local counsel in discussing pre-trial strategy and trial themes.
