Paris, July 7, 2026 – McDermott Will & Schulte advised Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management and automation, on its signing of a binding agreement to acquire 100% of Cognite, a leading provider of industrial data and AI software, in a US$3.1 billion transaction.

This strategic transaction will enhance Schneider Electric’s and its subsidiary AVEVA’s capabilities in industrial intelligence, large-scale data contextualization, and generative and agentic AI, helping accelerate the deployment of artificial intelligence at the heart of industrial operations.
