International law firm McDermott Will & Emery represented PGA TOUR, Inc. (PGA TOUR) as tax counsel, in connection with its launch of PGA TOUR Enterprises, LLC, a new joint venture with Strategic Sports Group (SSG), a consortium of American sports team owners, that will own and operate certain assets and operations related to the game of golf and growing and promoting the game of golf. SSG will make an investment of up to $3 billion in the joint venture and will provide a strategic focus for the benefit of the players and finding opportunities to enhance the game of golf across the world.
The McDermott team was led by John Lutz, Robert Louthian, Andrew Granek, Todd Solomon, Todd Kornfeld and Erika Mayshar.
