McDermott expands London Transactions bench with Natalie Blanc

McDermott Will & Schulte is pleased to announce that Natalie Blanc has joined the firm as a partner in its Transactions Practice Group in London.

Qualified in New York, New Jersey, England & Wales and Paris (France), Natalie advises on domestic and cross-border restructuring and insolvency, distressed M&A, and special situations financings.

“Natalie is one of the standout restructuring lawyers in the market,” said Harris Siskind, global head of the firm’s Transactions Practice Group. “She has advised on some of the most significant situations across Europe, and her work for credit funds is a particularly strong fit with our existing restructuring practice and the broader strengths of our global private capital platform. Combined with her US training, UK practice and admission in Paris, she brings a level of versatility that will be invaluable to clients navigating complex cross-border situations.”

She represents a broad range of clients, including credit funds, bank lenders, private equity sponsors, corporate debtors, and insolvency practitioners. Her recent work includes a landmark €24 billion balance sheet restructuring for a leading French telecoms and media company, and an innovative English restructuring plan for supporting noteholders, shortlisted for the IFLR Europe Awards Restructuring Deal of the Year 2026. She has also advised on a number of award-winning cross-border restructurings and Chapter 11 proceedings.

Her practice has a particular focus on credit funds and special situations investors, an area that aligns closely with McDermott’s strategic focus on private capital and complements the firm’s growing restructuring and finance capabilities in London and across Europe.

Natalie’s arrival continues McDermott’s strategic investment in London, following recent hires Lisa Gorannson, Lewis McDonald, Jessica Lee and Kristina Nordlander. Her addition further strengthens the firm’s capabilities across restructuring, finance, private capital, M&A and special situations.
