Frankfurt, 28 May 2025 – McDermott Will & Emery has comprehensively advised global alternative asset management group Tikehau Capital on the acquisition of a centrally located office property in the city of Frankfurt, Germany. Tikehau Capital is acquiring the property together with Dunman Capital Partners, a real estate investor based in Frankfurt, with the intention of transforming it into a serviced apartment complex.
Constructed in 1990, the asset in Querstrasse has a usable space of approx. 8,000 square meters. It is to be extensively refurbished as soon as the existing leases expire as scheduled over the next two years. Once completed, the project will comprise around 172 units designed for both long-term stays and traditional hotel operators.
The project is part of Tikehau Capital’s pan-European value-add real estate strategy and represents the third investment of the second fund vintage in Germany. The project is financed through an Article 9 fund in accordance with the EU Disclosure Regulation.
McDermott has provided Tikehau Capital with comprehensive legal and tax advice in relation to the acquisition of the property, the joint venture, the asset management agreement, the tax structure and the financing.
