McDermott Advises SiriusPoint in its Investment in and Partnership with Hestia Capital

International law firm McDermott Will & Emery represented SiriusPoint, the international specialty insurer and reinsurer, in its investment in and partnership with Hestia Capital, a Texas-based specialty (re)insurance intermediary and alternative asset advisory start-up. The partnership is the first to be announced by SiriusPoint since the carrier launched through the combination of Sirius Group and Third Point.

• Transaction expands SiriusPoint’s ability to access alternative markets and Hestia’s creation of new risk management products.

• The arrangement will see SiriusPoint provide (re)insurance paper and capacity for Hestia.
