McDermott Will & Schulte represented Ampersand Capital Partners, a middle-market private equity firm dedicated to growth in the healthcare sector, in the formation of Ampersand 2026 Limited Partnership with $1.5 billion in limited partner commitments. This oversubscribed fund, which is Ampersand’s twelfth primary fund since 1992, held a single close at the hard cap less than 5 months after launch.
The McDermott team was led by Jason Kaplan, Marc Sana, Marc Elovitz, David Wermuth, Kristian Werling and Michael Jaroslawicz, with invaluable assistance from Sarah Heberlig, Jimmy Aiosa, Eric Wesson, Joseph Daly, Kyle Hendrix, Matthew Schecter, Eric Choi, Nick Fagge and David Cohen.
