CPRA – What Businesses Face Under California’s Expanded Privacy Law and How You Can Prepare Now

Overview

As a wave of potential privacy legislation sweeps across the country, California continues to lead the way. The recently enacted California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) adds to the groundbreaking 2018 California Consumer Protection Act (CCPA), adding new data subject rights, imposing additional obligations on businesses, expanding the private right of action for data breaches and creating a dedicated privacy enforcement agency.

Join our California Privacy & Cybersecurity team for a discussion about what businesses need to do to comply with the legislation and mitigate their exposure to litigation and enforcement actions.

Continuing legal education (CLE) Credit will be offered. Minimum continuing legal education (MCLE) credit is pending in California, Illinois and New York. A Multi-Jurisdiction Certificate of Attendance will be made available to participants requesting MCLE credit in all other jurisdictions. To be eligible to earn a CLE certificate, you must attend the entire webinar. Credit for partial attendance will not be provided.
