Amy Harwood and Tori Ose presented “Strategic Planning with Charitable Trusts” at the Chicago Council on Planned Giving’s 2018 Annual Symposium on May 31, 2018.
The presentation highlighted the powerful uses of charitable split-interest trusts for clients wanting to give to charity while benefiting non-charitable beneficiaries in a tax-efficient manner. In the presentation, Amy and Tori also provided an overview of relevant changes brought about by the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, the first major tax reform legislation in 30 years.
