Overview
Ranajoy Basu will speak at the 2021 Annual Conference, which this year focuses on Legal Issues in Social Entrepreneurship and Impact Investing – in the US and Beyond.
Co-organized by the Impact Investing Legal Working Group (IILWG) and the Grunin Center for Law and Social Entrepreneurship, this annual conference brings together leading minds to explore new legal and policy developments in the fields of social entrepreneurship and impact investing and to discuss how lawyers and the law can most effectively serve social entrepreneurs and impact investors.
Ranajoy will lead a panel on Restructurings and Redesign in Stressed Markets; the panel will look at how restructuring and redesign are being employed in stressed markets to support the communities served by impact investments. The panel will also explore how impact investors balance supporting their clients with their financial obligations to their stakeholders, and will look at the increased risk that accompanies investment into stressed markets, compensation for higher risk, and use of concessional financing.
