McDermott Will & Schulte has advised German sustainable energy project developer Kajoni Energie on the sale of a portfolio of large-scale, stand-alone BESS projects (totaling 750 MW / 3 GWh) participating in the TSO merit-based grid auction (“Reifegradverfahren”) in Germany.
Kajoni Energie partners with leading BESS investor Green Flexibility to significantly increase its chances of success in the grid auction.
Kajoni Energie specializes in the project development of sustainable energy generation facilities –such as photovoltaic solar power systems and wind turbines, including the necessary ancillary equipment – as well as other sustainable technologies in the field of renewable energy (e.g., batteries and hydrogen).
Green flexibility develops, builds and operates large-scale battery storage systems on a long-term basis, covering every project step – from site identification and permitting to construction, operation and commercialization.
