Oliver Cheng focuses his practice on corporate advisory and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions and general corporate and governance matters. He also advises clients on venture capital and growth equity matters, representing both investors and companies in connection with equity financings. Oliver also maintains an active pro bono practice, representing a variety of clients, including nonprofits.

While in law school, Oliver served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Nathanael Cousins of the US District Court for the Northern District of California and as a summer associate at McDermott. He also was a senior symposium editor and a staff editor for the UC Law Journal and served as vice president of finance for the UC Law Business Society.

At the firm, Oliver is an active member of the Bay Area Justice, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee.

  • Represented Tether in its tender offer to acquire a controlling interest in Adecoagro S.A. (NYSE: AGRO), a leading sustainable production company in South America, for approximately $615.5 million
