Kai M. Fenty focuses his practice on US and international tax matters, with an emphasis on federal tax controversy. Katie Cross advises public and private clients (both US-based and foreign) on employment, employee benefits, and executive compensation matters in the context of mergers and acquisitions and other corporate transactions. Her experience includes conducting employment-related due diligence; negotiating transaction documents; drafting employee agreements; and providing strategic guidance on equity incentive arrangements, corporate governance, and public company disclosure requirements.

During law school, Katie served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Tracy Catapano-Fox in the New York Supreme Court, 11th Judicial District.

Tobias Thiemann advises national and international clients on domestic and cross-border corporate transactions in the areas of private equity and mergers and acquisitions (M&A). Prior to joining McDermott, he worked for several years as an lawyer at an international business law firm, focusing on the same advisory areas.
