NextGenerationEU green Bonds: A Shot in the Arm for Projects Worldwide

Partners Siddhartha Sivaramakrishnan, Ranajoy Basu and counsel Raminta Dereskeviciute authored an article published in The Energy Industry Times on the European Commission issuing its first-ever NextGenerationEU green bond. The €12 billion raised will be used exclusively to fund green and sustainable investments across the EU.

More than 11 times oversubscribed, the issuance provides a solid launch for the NextGenerationEU green bond programme and its plan to issue up to €250 billion in similar bonds by the end of 2026.
