Frankfurt, May 22, 2023 – McDermott Will & Emery advised Unsere Champions GmbH, a fast-growing operator of day nurseries and kindergartens in Southern Germany, on the acquisition of Kleine Stromer GmbH.
Unsere Champions, that is part of Luxembourg-based LD EDUCATION Group, is acquiring a majority stake in Kleine Stromer Group with the support of BGL BNP Paribas. A minority stake remains with the company’s founder.
Established in Kassel in 1993, Kleine Stromer GmbH operates 20 daycare centers in Hesse and generates an annual turnover of approx. €12 million. With this transaction, Unsere Champions, which is currently represented in Bavaria, Baden-Wuerttemberg and German-speaking Switzerland, expands into another German state.
McDermott has been assisting Unsere Champions GmbH with add-on transactions for several years.
The McDermott team was led by partner Norman Wasse and included partners Dr. Gudrun Germakowski and Dr. Johannes Honzen, counsel Marcus Fischer as well as associates Dr. Marion von Grönheim, Lisa Schickling, Elena Platte, Eva Kanela, Matthias M.
