McDermott adds Jessica Lee to drive London litigation growth
London, 9 June 2026 – Global law firm McDermott Will & Schulte continues to build momentum in London with the addition of Jessica Lee as a litigation partner, enhancing its capabilities across complex disputes, civil fraud and cutting-edge digital asset matters.
Jessica advises corporates and individuals on high-value, complex commercial disputes, spanning civil fraud, asset recovery, shareholder litigation and regulatory matters. She is well known for handling sophisticated cross-border disputes and investigations, including those involving the U.S. Department of Justice and the UK Serious Fraud Office.
A standout feature of Jessica’s practice is her experience in crypto and blockchain disputes, spanning crypto asset fraud and recovery actions, major exchange insolvencies and complex decentralised finance matters. Her arrival underscores McDermott’s continued investment in fast-evolving areas of client demand, particularly at the intersection of technology, financial services and contentious risk.
Joshua Simon, global head of McDermott’s Litigation Practice Group commented: “Jessica is a highly regarded litigator known for handling complex, high-stakes disputes. Her expertise across civil fraud, asset recovery and crypto matters is a natural fit with our strategic direction and the increasingly sophisticated demands of our clients. We’re delighted to welcome her to the team.”
Jessica’s practice complements McDermott’s growing litigation team in London, creating strong opportunities for collaboration across the firm, including on crypto, asset recovery and restructuring-related matters.
“Bringing Jessica on board is another stride forward in the evolution of our London office,” added Aymen Mahmoud, the firm’s London managing partner. “We are building depth across key areas and investing in talent that reflects both our ambition and the pace of our growth. Her strength in crypto disputes sits neatly within our existing business and drives forward what is a key growth area in cutting edge legal services.”
Jessica said: “I’m excited to join McDermott at such a dynamic point in its growth. The firm’s ambition in London, combined with its strength in complex disputes and forward-looking focus on areas like digital assets, presents a fantastic opportunity to deliver high-impact outcomes for clients. I’m looking forward to working with colleagues across the firm to build on this momentum.”
This appointment follows the recent additions of partners Hilton Mervis and Milo Molfa, as McDermott continues to deepen its litigation bench in London.
