Cym Lowell, Mark Thomas and Kristina Novak wrote this bylined article on the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act’s impact on multinational enterprises. The authors wrote that the Act “embraces a territorial system, as exists with most [US] trading partners; seeks to protect the US tax base from perceived cross-border erosion; and enacts an incentive for economic investment in the United States at a globally attractive effective tax rate (13.125%).”
