Samuel C. Ashworth

Prior to law school, Sam worked for the DOJ for five years and has significant experience in government investigations. Sam also practiced in Japan, where he was a member of a legal department of an industry-leading Japanese corporation. In that role, he advised on complex international contracts, compliance with international regulations, and corporate compliance programs.

Sam has represented clients in high-profile matters garnering significant attention in state and federal courts, as well as in commercial arbitration. In addition, Sam has experience representing clients in the virtual currency space, in both litigation and regulatory compliance. Sam has further experience representing senior executives and corporations involved in regulatory and criminal enforcement actions involving the DOJ, US Attorney’s Offices, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), as well as various state enforcement agencies. Sam has also represented major financial institutions, hospital networks, pharmaceutical companies, and agri-business companies in complex civil litigation and commercial arbitration.
