McDermott Will & Schulte has advised Main Capital Partners on the strategic combination of the German software provider buchner and the Dutch SDB Groep.
Following the acquisition of Alfa eCare in the Nordic countries, buchner is SDB’s second international acquisition and marks the company’s entry into the German healthcare software market.
Buchner is a provider of software solutions for therapists, serving a client base of over 8,000 healthcare facilities. Main Capital acquired a majority stake in the company in 2024.
SDB develops and distributes software for organisations in the healthcare and childcare sectors, including in the areas of care for the elderly, support for people with disabilities, mental health, rehabilitation and youth support. Main Capital has been a strategic partner of SDB since 2018.
Main Capital Partners is a leading software investor, managing private equity funds with approximately €6 billion under management in the Benelux, DACH, France, Scandinavia and the US.
