Letters to the Editor: Article on New York Qui Tam Lawsuits Missed the Point

Peter Faber wrote this letter to the editor criticizing an article that endorsed the role of False Claims Act whistleblowers in enforcing tax law. “Departments of revenue are perfectly capable of administering the tax laws and should have exclusive responsibility for doing so,” Mr. Faber wrote, urging states “not to allow individual vigilantes or the attorney general to get into the act.”
