Overview
Lindsay Barca represents publicly owned and privately held companies, creditor groups, and other parties in all phases of restructuring proceedings, including distressed-asset sales and acquisitions, Chapter 11 reorganizations, out-of-court workouts and restructurings, insolvency litigation, and related matters. She advises clients with operations and investments in a range of industries, including manufacturing, healthcare, medical devices, food and beverage, retail, technology, consumer goods, and professional services.
Lindsay handles complex, large-scale transactions including liability management exercises and in-court restructurings and bankruptcies. Among other things, Lindsay regularly advises on debtor in possession financings, going-concern asset sales, Chapter 11 plans, and recapitalizations involving hundreds of millions to billions of dollars in debt.
Lindsay represents clients across the capital structure, including debtors seeking to preserve their businesses, secured lenders pursuing asset recoveries, official committees of unsecured creditors investigating causes of action and ad hoc creditor groups navigating out-of-court transactions. She provides strategic counsel that helps clients navigate distressed situations and achieve optimal outcomes.
