Overview
Samuel (Sam) Thomas is a member of the Private Client & Wealth Management Group. He counsels clients on philanthropic planning, including the creation, governance, and administration of tax-exempt entities such as private grantmaking foundations, private operating foundations, public charities, and supporting organizations. Sam has extensive knowledge of the federal tax rules applicable to tax-exempt organizations and charitable giving. He also has significant experience advising on and drafting gift agreements for major gifts to charitable organizations.
