Ronak advises private equity sponsors (and their portfolio companies), bank lenders, credit funds and corporate borrowers on the financings behind complex transactions, with a particular focus on leveraged and event-driven acquisition financings, infrastructure financings and restructurings.
At McDermott, Ronak is a senior member of the London finance team, working within the firm’s integrated cross-border M&A and finance platform on private equity and corporate transactions.
Prior to joining the firm, Ronak was a senior associate in the finance teams of two leading international law firms in London. He has spent over 7 years advising on Indian law matters relating to cross-border financings, restructuring processes and complex exchange control issues.
Ronak is a registered foreign lawyer in England & Wales and qualified to practice as an advocate in India.
- Advised OpenGate Capital on its carve-out acquisition of Maersk Training A/S, including its subsidiary Maersk H2S Safety Services, from A.P. Møller – Mærsk A/S.
- Advised lenders on the financing supporting a £2 billion acquisition of a UK fibre network business, creating a significantly scaled fibre network backed by leading global infrastructure investors. *
- Advised mandated lead arrangers and lenders on the financing for a €1 billion acquisition of a European dental services group, including a €520 million syndicated Term Loan B and €100 million revolving credit facility. *
- Advised financing sources on €730 million of syndicated financing supporting the acquisitions of two European promotional/ fashion products businesses, comprising a €600 million Term Loan B and €130 million revolving credit facility. *
- Advised financing sources on senior and super-senior debt supporting the acquisition of a leading UK and Ireland occupational healthcare services provider by a global private equity sponsor. *
