McDermott Will & Emery has advised Sagard, the global alternative asset manager, on the conclusion of a definitive agreement to acquire a strategic stake in Bex Capital, a specialist secondary market investment firm.

This partnership marks a major step in Sagard’s expansion into the private equity secondary market, strengthening its position as a leading provider of alternative investment solutions.

Bex Capital will bring its in-depth expertise in secondary funds of funds to Sagard’s existing offering of primary funds, co-investments and secondary funds within the Sagard Private Equity Solutions platform.

The transaction is expected to be closed in the coming weeks, and remains subjected to regulatory approval.
