McDermott team recognized by Law.com’s Litigation Daily for patent trial win for United Therapeutics

A McDermott team led by Doug Carsten and Adam Burrowbridge was recognized in Law.com’s Litigator of the Week roundup for securing an important patent ruling for United Therapeutics Corp. in its litigation against Liquidia Technologies Inc.

After a four-day bench trial in the District of Delaware, the court found that Liquidia’s product, Yutrepia, infringed the patent-in-suit and rejected Liquidia’s challenges to two key claims of a United Therapeutics patent covering treatments for pulmonary hypertension associated with interstitial lung disease. McDermott worked on the matter alongside a team from Goodwin Procter.
