McDermott Will & Schulte advised Vam Investments, a private equity firm specializing in buyout transactions and buy-and-build platforms, on the acquisition of four Swiss companies: Efteor, Le Composant, Télôs Watch and Henri Robert. The transaction resulted in the creation of Groupe Chaumont, a new industrial platform based in Neuchâtel focused on the value chain of the Swiss high-end watchmaking industry.
Groupe Chaumont brings together businesses operating across complementary segments of the Swiss luxury watchmaking supply chain, from the production of precious metal components to the development of movements and complications, as well as precision micromechanics. The platform aims to become a leading partner for watchmaking maisons by combining integrated expertise and delivering manufacturing capacity, quality, traceability, and continuity of specialized manufacturing know-how.
McDermott advised Vam Investments on all legal aspects of the transaction. The McDermott team included partners Ettore Scandale and Oscar Arcà and associate Gian Luca Marchi.
