Seth Young litigates complex commercial disputes. He has experience in energy matters, class actions, and constitutional law at both the trial and appellate levels across the United States.
Prior to joining the firm, Seth clerked for Judge Fernando Rodriguez, Jr. on the Southern District of Texas and Justice Jimmy Blacklock on the Texas Supreme Court.

- Handled motions for class certification and responses to motions to dismiss and to compel arbitration in putative class actions challenging parking fee collections*
- Drafted petition for review and reply in Texas Supreme Court matter seeking vacatur of arbitration award for evident partiality*
- Managed discovery and summary judgment preparation in suit alleging underpayment by a mineral lease operator to a royalty trust*
- Successfully obtained the lifting of a default judgement in a civil forfeiture action before the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit*
- Prevailed in a lawsuit challenging an unconstitutional municipal zoning ordinance in South Carolina state court*
- Litigated a case involving a ship captain’s challenge to the Coast Guard’s delegation of Great Lakes harbor pilot registration to a for-profit private entity, before the US District Court for the District of Columbia*
- Appealed the dismissal of a challenge to Colorado’s certificate-of-need law for transportation businesses to the Colorado Court of Appeals*
