Charles (Chuck) Moll and Timothy (Tim) Shuman join the Practising Law Institute (PLI) for their event, “Tax Strategies for Corporate Acquisitions, Dispositions, Spin-Offs, Joint Ventures, Financings, Reorganizations & Restructurings 2023,” in Los Angeles from December 6–8.
Chuck will speak on the panel, “State and Local Tax Issues in Corporate M&A Transactions,” on December 8, which will examine the state and local tax issues that arise in corporate transactions and tax-free reorganizations.
Tim will speak on the panel, “Cross-Border Acquisitions and Divestitures,” on December 7, which will explore the key corporate and shareholder tax issues that arise in cross-border acquisitions and divestitures, including the impact of new and changing rules on some of the negotiating dynamics between buyers and sellers over issues such as a pre-closing tax indemnity and control of post-closing examinations.
