Successful Power Project Development Best Practices

Overview

Join the McDermott Energy & Project Finance team and our friends at the DOE Office of Indian Energy and the U.S. Department of Commerce Commercial Law Development Program for an overview of critical components of successful power project development including power purchase agreements (PPA), power project financing, power project procurement, natural gas and LNG development, power transmission financing, and energy storage.

This session, which will place special emphasis on project development on tribal lands, offers an overview of these topics as covered in the Understanding Series handbooks, which outline best practices for successful power project development. The handbooks were developed by the DOE Office of Indian Energy technical assistance partner, the U.S. Department of Commerce Commercial Law Development Program with assistance from McDermott’s government advisory and tribal advisory teams.

Freely available for download and used worldwide by public and private sector stakeholders, the series serves as a practical resource for decision-makers on the legal frameworks and strategies behind the development, financing, and procurement of power projects.

This webinar is hosted by the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Indian Energy Policy and Programs.
