Dr. Nils Stock advises companies on antitrust matters, with a particular focus on merger control, foreign investments, and antitrust compliance. He is also promoting the team’s knowledge management endeavors with regard to these areas.

During his studies, Nils specialized in European and international law and in competition law and economics. He also gained practical experience at consulting firms and at the German Federal Cartel Office.

Prior to joining McDermott Will & Schulte, Nils worked as a research assistant at the University of Mannheim and as a lecturer at the Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society. His doctoral research examined M&A transactions in the digital sector, addressing fundamental questions of jurisdiction, market definition, market power assessment, as well as (novel) theories of harm.
