Read time: 2 min

Overview

The Small Business, Enterprise and Employment Act 2015 inserted new provisions (a new Part 21A) into the UK Companies Act 2006 relating to gathering and recording information about people with significant control of UK companies. Those provisions are due to come into substantive effect on 6 April 2016, following the imminent coming into force of The Register of People with Significant Control Regulations 2016. At the same time, The Limited Liability Partnerships (Register of People with Significant Control) Regulations 2016 will apply the same regime to UK limited liability partnerships.
