Join us for an interactive webinar focusing on possible issues faced by the beneficiaries of those with assets in multiple jurisdictions when it comes to the posthumous handling of estates.

Our three part webinar series will use case studies to go over different scenarios to equip attendees with what to question and what to, as well as what not to, consider when it comes to estate planning for international families.

In the first session we will be covering:

  • Divorce and remarriage: In the event of death, can the children from the first marriage challenge what is set out in a will based on rights against foreign assets? and;
  • Working in the US whilst the family base remains in Europe: What are the tax considerations if a green card has been obtained? What are the ramifications of filing a treaty based US income tax return in order to be treated as a UK resident? Are there any repercussions on estate and gift tax issues in this situation?

There will also be the opportunity for Q&A after the discussion and interactive polls will be used to determine the focus of the subsequent sessions.
