Miami Breakfast Briefing Series: New Proposed Regulations Released on Qualified Opportunity Zone Investments & Fund Setup

Overview

Today, on October 19, the proposed regulations were released on the Qualified Opportunity Zone rules. With many investors considering Qualified Opportunity Funds to be eligible for the new benefit, these regulations will provide important updates and clarity on many of the statutory rules, address unanswered questions, and provide examples of qualifying fund investments.

Please join us for a morning presentation on October 23 where we will summarize the existing rules, the new proposed regulations, what qualifies and what doesn’t, and provide technical and practical advice on structuring qualified opportunity fund investments as both a standalone fund or fund of funds.

For information on the Opportunity Zone tax incentive, please see New Opportunities with Opportunity Zone Tax Incentives.
