International law firm McDermott Will & Emery announced that 72 of its lawyers have been listed in the Best Lawyers European editions for Belgium, France, Germany, Italy and the UK as leading practitioners. This is an increase of 25 lawyers named in the 2020 edition.
Each year, the Best Lawyers list is based on a peer-review survey, with recommendations from fellow lawyers to establish the most respected practitioners in their fields.
The 2021 list recognized five McDermott lawyers as most exceptional in their area of specialism naming them “Lawyer of the Year”, an honor only given to one individual in each practice and region. These included:
- Jochen Eimer – Pharmaceuticals Law, Frankfurt
- Rüdiger Herrmann – Biotechnology and Life Sciences Practice, Frankfurt
- Stephan Rau – Pharmaceuticals Law, Munich
- Emmanuelle Trombe – Biotechnology and Life Sciences Practice, Paris
- Wolfgang von Frentz – Technology Law, Munich
