Tim’s work spans the full spectrum of sophisticated tax planning for public and private multinational enterprises. In addition to third-party transactional matters, he counsels clients on post-acquisition integration and internal cross-border restructuring matters. He regularly assists clients in obtaining private letter rulings and other IRS guidance. He also counsels clients on international tax issues, including tax-efficient repatriation strategies, tax basis planning, supply chain planning, principal structures, and foreign tax credit planning.

When disputes arise, Tim represents clients before the IRS in audits and appeals, navigating issues involving worthless stock losses, foreign tax credits, and transactional matters from third-party and internal transactions. He also advises on tax issues involving private equity funds and regulated investment companies.
