International law firm McDermott Will & Emery represented Multicoin Capital, a thesis-driven investment firm that invests in cryptocurrencies, tokens and blockchain companies, in the formation of Venture Fund III, which closed with capital commitments of $430 million. The fund will provide capital for early- and later-stage projects focused on data-aggregating decentralized autonomous organizations, open finance, Web3 infrastructure and consumer social opportunities, among other initiatives.
The McDermott team was led by David Solander and included Rafael Calatrava, John Lutz, Andrew Granek and Todd Solomon.
